I travel around Yorkshire capturing the atmosphere and the essence of our towns and Cities at night. This week I was going to explore Bradford.
Now I hear you say 'Bradford'. what is in Bradford that is worth shooting. I must admit I have said that myself, but too my amazement this city is stunning..
Armed with my Fuji Xpro 2, remote release and tripod I decided to investigate. One slight problem! I don't know Bradford City at all. Lucky for me I called on my trusted friend Dru Patel who is a Bradfordian to guide me.
We started at City Park which is a public space in the centre of Bradford. City Park is Bradford's multi award winning public space. The mirror pool is the largest urban water feature in the UK.
I then moved on to the iconic building of Bradford the Alhambra. It was built in 1913 at a cost of £20,000 and opened it doors on the 18th March 1914. In 1964 Bradford City Council bought the Alhambra for £78,000 and in 1974 it was designated a Grade II listed building. In the coming weeks I will be exploring some other areas of Bradford, subscribe below to keep up to date with my adventures.
To be continued....
